Stoneware Classic glazes offer the depth. sophistication and reliability to artists working from mid-range to high-fire temperatures. Many of them will break over textures, revealing secondary colors and shades. Designed to perform in oxidation or reduction firing processes from cone 5 to 10. (Do your own test). The choice of clay body, thickness of glaze application, firing process and temperature will affect the fired results.
ON THE LEFT:
Cone: 6 (fired flat, in oxidation, on white stoneware body)
Finish: A glossy, opaque, variegated blue glaze that breaks over texture and has an iridescent sheen. Blue micro-crystallization may develop.
Dinnerware Safe: Yes (When properly applied and fired to proper cone).
