A low odor, fast-setting urethane that offers very high tear strength, impact resistance and wear resistance. Phthalate, mercury and MOCA free. Cured rubber has exceptional performance characteristics and dimensional stability. Suitable for making fast mechanical parts, gaskets, wheels and pullies, impact resistant props, and archival master models. Also used to make fast, wear resistant rubber molds for casting concrete or concrete stamping pads. Also an excellent choice for rotocasting to create hollow semi-rigid castings.
Can be colored with SO-Strong or Ignite colorants. For many applications, a release agent (Universal Mold Release or Ease Release 200) is suitable. IMPORTANT: Cured Task 16 will inhibit the cure of liquid platinum silicone.
Platinum silicones can not be poured into cured Task 16. Tin silicone must be used if intending to pour silicone against cured Task.
