CG-718 Blue Caprice

Glazes that transform in the kiln when the small pieces of glass burst into color and intricate patterns during the firing process. Artists use these beautiful glazes to add dramatic, colorful effects to their creations. They can be used alone for stunning effects, in combination with Stroke & Coat, Foundations-Matte, Foundations-Opaque, Foundations-Sheer or Cobblestone, or simply as an accent to the design. Due to the movement of the glaze, it is recommended to limit the amount of crystals on the bottom third of a vertical piece (no crystals underneath).

ON THE LEFT:
Cone: 06 (fired flat in oxidation on white earthenware body)
Finish: Opaque, bright blue base w/green, yellow and blue crystals. Gloss.
Dinnerware Safe: No


BELOW:
Cone: 6 (fired flat in oxidation on white stoneware body)
Finish: Base glaze lightens, crystals fade and melt. Enhanced mobility. (Surface issues may occur.)
